Quick Chess is ostensibly chess, played on a 6 x 5 board, with five pawns, and one each of the king, queen, bishop, knight, and rook. The game is promoted as a learning tool for children and adults, and as a chess variant. For the sake of children, the pieces are given cutesy names including King Chestarr, Queen Inja, Robok the Rook, Bubba the Bishop, Nifty the Knight, and Peppi, Paul, Paula, Pat, and Patti the Pawns.
